The other variations of the Latin witnesses are extremely instructive—viz.:

locis eminentioribus superioribus g₂ emm. honorificis m

clarior dignior d m g₂ emm. honoratior e

deorsum inferius g₂ emm. infra m

inferior humilior minor

superius sursum in superiori loco.

utilius utile gloriam.

This variety is an indication of the early age at which the text was translated into Latin.
