Introduction to the Literature of Europe in the Fifteenth, Sixteenth, and Seventeenth Centuries, Vol. 1

Note 406 — Chapter III

Reading edition

Meiners has praised Politian’s Greek verses, but with very little skill in such matters, p. 214. These Greeks, besides, knew but little of their metrical language.
