Captain Tayler, Brigade-Major of the 4th Brigade. Mohun Lal says that “Major Macgregor found him concealed with an armed party in the tower, waiting for the night.” Mr. Stocqueler (Memorials of Afghanistan) attributes the honour of the capture to Brigadier Roberts, who directed Captain Tayler to proceed to the house.
