Reading edition
The emperor Akbar took Muzaffar Sháh with him to Agra, and settled on him the districts of Sárangpur and Ujjain in Málwa with a revenue of Rs. 20,00,000 (50 lákhs of tankás) (Elliot, V. 353). When Mun’im Khán Khán Khánán was going to Bengal, the emperor made Muzaffar over to him. Mun’im Khán gave his daughter Sháhzádah Khánam in marriage to Muzaffar, but shortly afterwards having reason to suspect him imprisoned him, whence Muzaffar finding an opportunity fled to Gujarát in a.d. 1581 (H. 989) according to Farishtah (II. 460), 1583 according to the Mirăt-i-Sikandari. ↑
