Note 78 — Chapter II · ÁHMEDÁBÁD KINGS. a.d. 1403–1573.
Reading edition
These Mírzás were the great grandsons of a Muhammad Sultán Mírza, the ruler of Khurásán, who, on being driven out of his dominions, sought refuge in India. This prince and his family on the ground of their common descent from Taimûr, were entertained first by Bábar (a.d. 1526–1531), and afterwards by Humáyún (a.d. 1531–1556). Before this quarrel Akbar had treated the Mírzás with great honour. Elliot’s History, VI. 122. ↑
