Two prominent bishops of Honduras maybe mentioned: Antonio Guadalupe Lopez Portillo, a native of Guadalajara and delegate to the general council held at Rome in 1723, Figueroa, Vindicias, MS., 75, and Francisco Molina who was elected in 1743; but of the events of their administrations no records exist.
