Alcedo, Dávila, Juarros, and other writers of the period fail to mention Carrasco in their enumeration of the bishops of Nicaragua. We find him named only in Calle, Mem. y Not., 129, and Mendieta, Hist. Ecles., 548. Icazbalceta in a note in the Hist. Ecles. gives Valdivieso as the first bishop of the diocese instead of Osorio.
