Par une coincidence assez singulière, on réimprima en Angleterre, en la même année et à la même époque, les idées saugrenues d'un nommé Francis Potter, sous le titre de: “An interpretation of the Number 666, wherein is shown that this number is an exquisite and perfect character, truly, exactly, and essentially describing that state of government to which all other notes of Antichrist do agree.”
L'auteur consacre 29 chapitres à prouver sa thèse, et commence le dernier en disant: “All objections are answered, and all difficulties cleared, even to such who have no knowledge in arithmetic.” Nous croyons le livre assez rare.
