In the edition of Bonwetsch and Achelis, Leipsig, 1897, No. 22, p. 255 et seq., Achelis and others regard it as spurious but without just reason. It is translated by Probst, Lehre und Gebet, 247. Although not a sermon, it was evidently an address delivered to certain individuals. Cf. c. 6 and 9 (ἀγαπητέ and ἄνθρωπε).
