While he was still talking he heard a voice [saying]: “Huk, huk, huk, huk, huk, huk, huk, huk.” Then he looked toward it. Lo! his younger brothers were trying to run apart from each other. Then he went to them and spit medicine upon them. He put some on himself as well and tried to pull them away. He was unable to do it. Then he tried it again. Again he was unable to do it. That was Gā′gix̣it-woman, they say.”19
