By ʟdjîñ the Haida understand the coast of British Columbia from the borders of the Tsimshian southward indefinitely. The people living along it, be they Kwakiutl, Nootka, or Salish, are all called ʟdjîñ xa′-idᴀga-i (ʟdjîñ-people). Djîñ = “far.” ↑
