This despatch was discovered by the Prince La Tour D’Auvergne (see his book on Waterloo, p. 318), and is of extreme importance. It was written “at daybreak, on the 18th, and ordered Pajol to hasten to Tourinnes, “afin que nous poussions en avant de Wavre, le plus promptement possible.”
