The address does not indicate which of the Cardinals Barberini, but it is clear from Niccolini’s despatch of 13th November, 1632, to Cioli, that it was to Cardinal Antonio, jun., nephew of the Pope, and not, as Albèri assumes, to Cardinal Antonio, sen., the Pope’s brother.
