Hiku continued on his way until he arrived at his parents’, where he again lived with them. His love for the vanished twilight of Kona,5 Kawelu, however, kept growing stronger and ever stronger, until it was more than he could bear. He finally decided to return to Kawelu as soon as he could forget her ill treatment of him.
