Reading edition
Historical Survey, p. 132. In Hufeland’s Journal (Jahrgang 1814 and 1815. Vols. xxxii-xxxiv) there is general survey of the copious literature of that time regarding infectious nerve-fever; it comprises several hundred numbers. Many publications are only of a theoretical nature and deal only with the character of the disease and do not aim at offering descriptive data; only a few contain usable information regarding the duration and extent of the epidemic in the individual localities.
