In the summer of 1657, "a hot and sickly season," Busby and some of the boys resided at Chiswick, where was a manor-house founded for the use of the school in times of sickness by Goodman, Dean of Westminster, 1570. The names of the Earl of Halifax, John Dryden, and other pupils of Busby might be seen on the walls at the close of the last century.—Lyson's Environs, ii. 191.
