Burgess and Marshall preached on the occasion from Jeremiah l. 5, and 2. Chron. xv. 2. The sermons were published, and may be found in the library of the British Museum. They relate to covenanting with God, but I do not see that the preachers make any reference to the Scotch covenant, though Nalson charges them with having had their eye on that symbol all the way through.—Collection, i. 530.
