Note 37 — Chapter III · DANTON AT THE CORDELIERS

Reading edition

See Appendix V., Rousselin. The anecdote is little esteemed by Aulard, but is admitted to be of value by other biographers. But Rousselin may have been right in the main, though (writing many years after) mistaken in the matter of a month or so.
