Note 79 — 4. THE HINDOOS.

I have stated, in my “Crania Americana,” that the Hindoos appear to have the smallest heads of any existing people; and that in the Inca Peruvians the brain was but a fraction larger. Later observations, however, have led me to believe that the Nigritos, or aboriginal Negro race of the Indian archipelago, present a nearly parallel example.
