British Royal Proclamations Relating to America, 1603-1783

Note 1 — 1744, June 14.

Reading edition

A long proclamation was issued November 7, 1744, providing for the distribution of the bounty for destroying French ships, which is omitted from this volume since it contains no direct reference to America. It was printed in the London Gazette of November 10, 1744, and a copy of the original broadside is in the Privy Council Office.
