British Royal Proclamations Relating to America, 1603-1783

Note 1 — 1702, March 9.

Reading edition

A form of proclamation of the accession of Queen Anne was provided for the American colonies. It was sent over as a printed sheet, with blanks for the name of the colony and the body issuing the proclamation. Copies of this printed form are in the British Museum and the Public Record Office. A similar form was provided for previous accessions, but does not seem to have been printed, being found in the manuscript Registers of the Privy Council.
