Aubrey, writing Aug. 7, 1680, in Wood MS. F. 39, fol. 343, says:—'Pray ask the deane of Welles what countreyman Ben Johnson was. To my best remembrance I heard him say (1648) Warwickshire; and I have heard some say that he was of Trinity College Cambridge.'
