Aubrey gives in colours the coat: 'gules, a cross moline or (vide the Heralds' office if any charge on the cross)'; and notes that the 'crest' is 'a head like a hare's head.' He adds also the references:—(a) 'vide his life writt by ..., in 8vo'; (b) 'quaere Mr. Elias Ashmole for his nativity.' He has drawn the figure for the insertion of the planetary signs, and left it blank.
