Note F — CATALOGUE OF HOGARTH'S PRINTS.[1] (continued 3)
Reading edition
This passage will, perhaps, be better illustrated by the following paragraph, printed in a daily paper called "The Citizen:"—"Saturday last, being the first day of August Old Stile, the Artillery Company marched according to custom once in three years (called Barnes's March, by which they hold an estate): they went to Sir George Whitmore's, and took a dunghill. As they were marching through Bunhill-Row, a large hog ran between a woman's legs and threw her down, by which accident the ranks were broke, which put the army in the utmost confusion before they could recover."
