French Poupée, which, in the slang phraseology of that language, properly denotes a harlot. On the other hand, we have the term dolly as a synonym for penis. (C.f. Farmer: Slang and its Analogues.) This use of poupée, which, of course, is literally translated by doll, is peculiar; our French lexicographers do not include it in their lists of synonyms for the membrum virile.
