A translation of these writings is given in Clark’s “Ante-Nicene Library,” vol. xvi. Among the “Acts of Pilate” are contained the so called “Gospel of Nicodemus,” which is the fountain of that favourite mediæval subject, “The Harrowing of Hell.”
