Gezo had also his three favourite skulls (Mr. Duncan, vol. 1, p. 245). That traveller, after seeing 2000 to 3000 crania, remarked that “several were deficient of any suture across the upper part,” in the proportion of 1:12, whilst those without longitudinal division were as 1:27. He also found the Makhi crania receding from the nasal bone, or lower part of the forehead, to the top in a greater angle than those of any other country.
