A history of the Peninsular War, Vol. 6, September 1, 1812-August 5, 1813

Note 362 — SECTION XXXV: CHAPTER IV

Reading edition

See dispatch in Girod’s Vie militaire du Général Foy, pp. 386-7. The whole is written in a boastful and unconvincing style, unworthy of such a good soldier. Colonel Harrison’s report is singularly vague and short. He only says that the enemy made off, leaving their dead behind.
