René La Butte, one of Bowyer's printers who came to Cambridge with Walker and James, the founders of The Cambridge Journal, the first Cambridge newspaper; through the influence of Conyers Middleton, La Butte was established as a French teacher in Cambridge; Bentham printed his French Grammar (2nd ed.) in 1790.
