He protests vigorously against the title of Katheder Sozialist in a letter of August 26, 1872. A vigorous criticism of the Socialism of the Chair, written in a private letter of Rodbertus, is quoted at length by Rudolf Meyer in his Emancipationskampf des 4ten Standes, pp. 60-63 (Berlin, 1874).
